Kelly + David’s Wedding Day at the Atlantis Ballroom

Kelly and David’s love story started back in 2009 when they met at Houlihan’s in Brick. Little did Kelly know, a regular trip to Houlihan’s would turn into forever. David was her waiter that night and he proposed at the same exact table 7 years later in 2016.

They said ‘I do’ on May 12th, 2023 at the Atlantis Ballroom. Their special day started bright and early as Kelly and her six bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done in our Bridal Suite at the Days Hotel Toms River Jersey Shore. Then, the bridal party went off to Island Heights to take portraits and watch the couple have their first look by the water. After that, they returned to our venue for their beautiful indoor ceremony followed by a delicious cocktail hour and reception.

Kelly’s wedding dress was a stunning balance of romantic and alluring. The dress featured a plunging sweetheart neckline and ornate lace appliques. Created with two layers of tulle, the mermaid skirt added a beautiful shape to the gown. Originally, Kelly had purchased a different dress and after receiving it in the mail, she was having second thoughts. She returned to David’s Bridal and purchased the dress described above. “That was the dress I had been dreaming about” Kelly said. The moment Kelly tried on the new dress, she cried tears of joy and knew she made the right decision about returning to the store. “The color, the fit, the design, and the details I knew this was the dress I saw myself in on my big day.”

From the early moments of wedding planning, the couple knew they wanted to go with a floral, boho, chic vibe. They originally came to tour the Atlantis Ballroom because it reasonable and within their budget, but what sold them was the incredible staff. “The Catering Team was nothing short of exceptional and was so accommodating” Kelly reminisced.

The guests at Kelly and David’s wedding could not stop raving about the delicious food! As guests entered the Atlantis Ballroom, they were greeted with a glass of champagne to toast to the newlyweds. The Caprese Salad was served as an appetizer, followed by an entrée selection of New York Strip Steak or an Herb Roasted French Breast of Chicken. The chicken was stuffed with spinach and Boursin cheese with lemon garlic cream sauce. For dessert, guests enjoyed wedding cake and the Sundae Scoop dessert station.

Kelly’s favorite moments on her wedding day were getting ready with her bridal party in the bridal suite, the ceremony, dancing at the reception and finally the private first dance with her husband. Their first dance song was ‘If you Love Her’ by Forest Blakk.

“The Atlantis Ballroom made my day so incredibly easy. As a bride, you stress about a lot of things, but they made everything effortless. It was a blissful day because of them.” Kelly shared.

This day wouldn’t have been so perfect without the amazing vendors that contributed.
